Think about Thinking™ ORIGINS
At the heart of TaT's inception lie essential principles that serve as the bedrock for its foundation and subsequent years of relentless endeavor.
Simplify the Complex
The complexity and ever-changing nature of emotions can be perceived as highly intricate. Nevertheless, the significance of the TaT LOAD Acronym lies in its ability to simplify this chaotic complexity into four fundamental components.
The utilization of the LOAD concept aids in the convenient recognition and more effective handling of negative emotions that have the potential to rapidly descend into despair. LOAD symbolizes the four essential emotional categories of Loneliness, Overwhelm, Anger, and Depression.
Different Ways
"Does the experience of loneliness differ between introverts and extroverts?"
This initial thought sparked a profound exploration into the diverse coping mechanisms individuals employ to navigate their inner worlds. As one query arose, a cascade of further inquiries followed suit.
"What methods do people employ to gain mastery over their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors?"
"Do individuals acquire these skills through chance encounters or by observing others?"
"Are individuals even cognizant of their inherent capacity for self-control?"
It was evident that a comprehensive search for insights necessitated the exploration of multiple perspectives and sources.
Gathering Wisdom
“What do people do to better handle their lives?”
This profound question drives the formation of TaT (Think about Thinking). To aid in this pursuit, a special interviewing process called the "Think about Thinking" process was created, and a group of trained TaT interviewers embarked on an exploration. Together with other individuals, they asked six fundamental questions regarding unplugging, resetting, and effectively managing emotions when faced with feelings of loneliness, overwhelm, anger, and depression. This gathering has continued for years and persists to this day, constantly evolving and progressing.
